B for Brilliant

I watched V for Vendetta this weekend. My review, you ask? Well let me just say that I watched the first Kill Bill movie a total of 7 times in theaters, and I’ll go on record as saying that I liked V for Vendetta more. Will I go back and watch it again and again, probably not...that would be stupid. I had a good reason for laying down my $ 7.50 each and every time I watched Tarantino’s epic of Shakespearian magnitude.

What I liked about V was that the movie had a poignant and powerful message (given our current political landscape). And what better way to deliver that message to the masses then to wrap it in a violence and revenge story. Kudos to Alan Moore (the original author) and the Wachowski brothers.

Zipymonkey will love the firm grasp of the English language in the first 10 minutes of the movie, while BastardFace would just love to firmly grasp the body of Natalie Portman (and who wouldn’t really, bald chicks are hot).

I don’t want to ruin it for you by discussing any part in particular, so I’ll just say I can’t recommend this movie enough. And when you do go see it, be on the lookout for the X-Men trailer, it looks equally good.
